Privacy Policy

We collect information such as name, email address, class details, and account information when users register on Viswasimi AI Tutor.

We also collect student learning data: the conversations with the AI tutor (your questions and the answers generated), quiz answers, progress and mastery of each topic, and study time. We keep technical records of each request made to the AI services (which service, how long it took, and its size and cost) to keep the service reliable and affordable; these records do not contain the text of your messages.

When you upload a photo of a homework question, it is used only to produce the help you asked for. We do not save the photo and we do not save the answer: both are gone once your request is finished. While the request runs, the photo (and your question) is sent to an AI service provider, described in section 8.

In the voice classroom, your speech is processed live by an AI voice service. We do not store recordings of your voice. We keep what the tutor wrote on the board and short extracts of the conversation so that a class can be resumed.

Payments are securely handled using Razorpay. We do not store card or banking information on our servers.

Viswasimi AI Tutor is designed for students. Users under 18 must use the platform under parental or guardian supervision.

We use secure servers and encrypted connections to protect user information including chat history. Our own lesson material (textbook files and pictures) is kept separately from student data, and the original textbook files are stored privately.

• Conversations with the tutor are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically.
• Records of requests to the AI services are kept for up to 90 days; after that only daily totals (number of requests, size and cost, without message text) remain.
• Login sessions and one-time links (password reset, email verification) are deleted shortly after they expire.
• Progress, mastery and study history are kept while the account remains active, so that your learning record is not lost.
• Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires.
• Homework photos are not stored (see section 2).

You may ask us to delete your account and the data linked to it at any time (see section 10).

We do not sell user data. Data is shared only with the services that run Viswasimi, and only as needed to provide it:

• AI service providers (OpenAI, Google and Anthropic) receive your questions, homework photos and lesson context so that they can generate answers, lessons and voice. They may keep that data for a limited time under their own terms, for example to detect abuse.
• Hosting and database providers (Supabase, Vercel and Render) store and serve the service.
• Razorpay processes payments (section 4).
• An email service sends account emails such as password reset and verification.

We use cookies to maintain login sessions and improve performance. Users may disable cookies through browser settings.

Users may request access, updates, or deletion of their personal data by contacting us.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page.
